1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon black pepper, plus more as needed

¼ teaspoon sea salt, plus more as needed

8 chicken wings (wing and drum)

2 tablespoons melted butter

¼ cup hot sauce (preferably one without added sugars)

¼ cup Homemade Ranch Dressing

Preheat the oven to 375ºF. Generously brush an 11-by-17-inch baking sheet
with olive oil.

Combine the baking powder, garlic powder, pepper, salt, and 1
tablespoon water in a deep bowl. Add the chicken and toss until well
coated. Arrange the chicken in a single layer on the prepared pan. Bake for
20 to 25 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden on both sides.

Meanwhile, whisk together the butter and hot sauce in a small bowl.
Pour over the chicken, stirring to make sure it’s well coated. Increase the
oven temperature to 400ºF. Bake 10 to 15 minutes more, turning halfway
through, until crispy.

Serve the chicken wings hot with the Homemade Ranch Dressing.
